Why is prayer important?
Here at Genesis, we believe our Upward relationship with Christ through prayer and intercession is a key component to our culture as a Church. Prayer is not just a thing we do, but is the first thing that we do. We value prayer and we believe that it is primary and essential to the growth of the Church as well as to the believer in Jesus Christ. Often, the problems we face seem too big for us to solve. No matter how much or how hard we try, we cannot solve them in our own power or in our own strength.
As a community, we will learn and practice worship based prayer through praying the Word of God with passion and fervency (James 5:16). Our prayer time with God will no longer be a grocery list of our problems, but a celebration of our Problem Solver!
