“Genesis Church is a justice oriented, multi-generational community of believers that inspires people to know Jesus passionately while loving others unconditionally.”
We are fully persuaded that justice and what love looks like in public. We share Christ's heart for those who have been broken, vulnerable, marginalized, lost, left out, and left behind.
We are a church for the unchurched, the de-churched, and those who have been burned by the church in the past. We care care about our community, the nation, and the world. We believe that the redemptive work of Christ changes everything and provides us with the delegated authority and power to help bring sustainable change to our community.
Our vision
Our vision as a church is to glorify God by making disciples of Jesus, while serving and seeking to enrich the welfare of our city and neighboring communities. God is calling us to live Upward through worship, to live Inward through discipleship and to live Outward through evangelism and outreach.
Upward
The purpose of our gatherings is to exalt the name of Jesus while receiving edification and exhortation through the relevant teaching of God’s word. At Genesis the call to live Upward is for us to regularly and faithfully gather together in corporate praise and worship where people from all backgrounds can experience an encounter with Jesus Christ.
Inward
We believe that ministry should go beyond having “Church” on Sunday morning, but ministry should take place throughout the week. At Genesis, the call to live Inward is through discipleship and spiritual development fostered in the context of small groups. Small groups are fun and great way to get to know other members of Genesis, while developing loving and meaningful relationships. If you are committed to the journey of being a disciple of Jesus Christ, join an IMPACT Group today!
Outward
At Genesis, our emphasis will not be on the gathering of believers, but on the scattering of God’s people to the nations. The call to live Outward is to do evangelism and outreach locally. It is also the vision of Genesis to plant churches and to release urban and international missionaries for Christ throughout the region and around the world.
